Goa Goa Goa

Posting this article after a long hiatus & of course after exploring many places I finally have some interesting stories to share. With every year one trip commencing to Goa, this place offers a lot to reminisce with each outing. It offers solitude with family, frolic with friends, romance with your partner or lone spiritual exploration. Each outing has a diverse experience worth exploring.

A beautiful place nestled with green landscapes, blue seas, seafood, live music & alcohol, Goa offers a treat with its bountiful footprint. North Goa is where all the trance parties & loud music rev up the dancing spirits whereas South Goa offers peaceful retreat.

If you are looking to party with your friends or want to try out some watersports, you can hit Calangute or Baga beach. Tito’s nightclub at Baga beach has some blasting music for clubbing whereas Souza Lobo at Calangute beach plays live soulful music. The food at Souza Lobo is a tad bit expensive and not all dishes live up to the mark. Ajuna and Arambol beaches in North Goa are perfect beaches to stay away from the crowd and get a tan lying under shacks. Watching the sunset or reading a book or just lazing around and sipping on alcohol is the most pleasurable experience at Goa. You can also treat yourself with an occasional massage which comes very cheap.

South Goa is more pleasant and tranquil. As children we would play on the beach and make sand castles, Varca beach in south Goa is secluded and offers you this escape. You can enjoy the sunset whilst taking a dive into the sea waves and watch the sea gulls fly over the shore. You can dig into delicious goan cuisine at Martin’s corner (do try the beef chilli or squid chilli) with live goan music or relish a quite lunch by the lakeside at The Fisherman’s Warf (do try sea devil’s starter – prawn wrapped in bacon).

The stories of Goa diaries keep filling in the pages and bring in countless memories which remain to be cherished forever. This place can’t really be explicated in words, it can only be appreciated in reality. To sum it up, Goa is all about impeccable reverie and a perfect weekend getaway for loads of excitement!!
